Acoustics and Ultrasound

Classical acoustic and ultrasound experiments are conducted in our laboratory using a water tank and specified ultrasonic transducers to perform diverse types of characterization.

Our lab has accurate and precise built-in linear stages with a position accuracy of up to 40 nm. The acoustic experiments are performed using in-house single-element ultrasonic transducers and commercially available ultrasonic transducers for transmission and reception.

Additionally, broadband hydrophones are used for reception to facilitate probe characterization and other measurements. We provide advanced acoustic measurements to some clients by integrating external systems like Verasonics and u4us into our setup.
